Who Would Buy This:
Anyone that loved the Guitar Hero or Rock Band game series will love this game.  Also, anyone that already plays the guitar and likes to play video games should like this game.  And finally, for people that want to learn to play the guitar, this is a great learning tool and you will love the game play.

Things we like about the Rocksmith game:
I’ve been playing the guitar for several years and this is finally a rock guitar video game that I can play and enjoy.  I don’t get much time to practice my guitar skills anymore, so play the Rocksmith guitar game is awesome because I can have fun playing the game and I can brush up on my guitar skills at the same time.

I’ve tried out the Guitar Hero and Rock Band games over the last couple of years.  They were fun to a point, but being a guitar player, I just couldn’t enjoy them 100% because I knew how unreal the experience really was.  Not to mention the fake feel of the plastic guitars.  The Rocksmith game plugs into my own real guitar, which is amazing.

Some of the cool features about this game is that it automatically adjusts to your ability.  My wife, who does not play guitar is able to play the game right along with me.  If you are good then the game adds more notes and techniques, but it still lets beginners play along.  The interface is very intuitive and easy to follow along with.

I also like that I can use whatever guitar I want.  I have several and I’ve tried them all.

Different parts of the game teach different skills and it allows you to practice the skills until you get better and better at each one.  There are also cool little side game that you can play which also help hone your guitar skills.

Things we did not like about the Rocksmith game:
Every now and then the game will miss a note, but not often.  A minor little annoyance for an overall great game.  I kind of expect these things with such a new technology.  There are also some audio lag issues if you use an HDMI cable.  The easy fix for this is to not use HDMI, but instead run the audio from your RCA cables through the TV or your sound system.

Conclusion:
In conclusion, although I listed a couple of negatives, this really is an awesome game and a huge step for guitar based games.  The price is also right.  The bundle is key, coming in at under $200 and including a real guitar.  Can’t beat that price.  And the game has a lot more to offer over Guitar Hero.

I don’t really know what kind of guarantee they offer but I’m sure there is a warranty.  Either way, it should ship for free from Amazon because it is over $25..  I personally guarantee that you will have fun

Is the Rocksmith game worth the money?
Like I mentioned above, I think it is.  You can’t beat the bundle price for under $200 which comes with a guitar.  If you like to play guitar, then this makes the whole process even fun than before, especially if you are still learning to play the guitar.
